Description ~ Cast On - Bind Off

There are literally hundreds of ways to start knitting, and yet it seems that we always fall back on the tried and true favorites.  Why is that?  Possibly because we do not have to stop and think about them, but more likely we never even give the start of our projects a second thought. But, we are knitters.  Smart knitters, with the world at our fingertips thanks to Google.  It’s time to expand our inner knitters and explore the world of cast ons.  Then, because when you cast on you must always bind off, I have combed the knitting world to come up with the best complimentary bind offs to the cast-ons we will learn.

Materials Needed ~ Cast On - Bind Off

• Smooth, light colored, worsted weight yarn (small amounts for swatches)
• US #8 needles (any type)
• Locking stitch markers
• Crochet hook, size G
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors
